Primary objective
Provide high level advice and coordination for a wide range of infrastructure, planning, and service and supply programs delivered
across the NT Government to drive development of the Beetaloo Sub-basin, including strategic planning, scoping and management
of cross government programs and projects.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Responsible for oversight, coordination, and communication of infrastructure, planning and supply chain-related workstreams
and interdependencies across government in relation to the Beetaloo Sub-basin, including transport and infrastructure
development; logistics & supply chain requirements; and population growth planning.
2. In relation to Beetaloo development, liaise effectively across areas of government responsible for supply chain development;
industry development; infrastructure and logistics capacity; and population and land planning to effectively project, plan, and
coordinate critical development requirements.
3. Work collaboratively across responsible agencies, seeking and providing informed and evidence-based advice as relevant to
drive development of the Beetaloo Sub-basin, including scoping and management of cross government programs and projects.
4. Proactively support and drive collaboration among senior cross-government agency officials to achieve Beetaloo development
outcomes.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Ability to provide high level advice and coordination for a wide range of infrastructure, planning and logistics programs delivered
across NT Government to drive development of the Beetaloo Sub-basin, including strategic planning, scoping and management
of cross government programs and projects.
2. Demonstrated skills and experience in coordinating major project delivery across multiple agencies and industry, with
experience relevant to the onshore gas industry.
3. Demonstrated project management, planning and coordination expertise, including the ability to prioritise, analyse and report
on complex issues of an organisational, planning, confidential, or commercial nature and evaluate advantages, risks and strategies
in concise and meaningful ways.
4. Superior interpersonal skills particularly in communication, collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution in order to balance
competing demands and influence outcomes.
5. High level stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage proactively and productively and collaborate as appropriate
with senior leaders across state/territory and Commonwealth governments and across industry, including to represent the
interests of the NT and identify mutually acceptable solutions in situations of differing interests.
6. High level research and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and communicate information tailored to
diverse audiences.
7. High level strategic thinking, conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and synthesise issues and strategic
forces to navigate projects and industries.
8. Valid driver’s licence or have the ability to obtain one.
Desirable
Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, management or a related field.
