Job Details
This role is for an experienced Driver or someone looking for a career change with a desire to work in the Aviation industry. You will be responsible for loading catering onto aircraft, driving short distances and safely guiding vehicles on the tarmac.
Key Responsibilities
* Short distance driving and basic vehicle checks, including re-fuelling, are essential requirements of this position.
* Loading and unloading trucks and aircraft with catering, carts, and ovens must be done efficiently and effectively, ensuring any discrepancies are followed up on.
* Guiding and positioning trucks in line with company, airport, and airline policies is crucial for successful completion of tasks.
* Communication and coordination with Airline cabin crew for aircraft servicing and delivery hand over is critical for smooth operations.
* Coordinating with dispatch aircraft timings and flight delivery allocations requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Administrative documentation, reporting, and general cleaning duties as required are important aspects of this role.
Requirements
* A clean MR or HR driver's license is mandatory for this position.
* The ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks is necessary for safe and efficient operation.
* A Safety First mindset, always being aware of surroundings and practicing proper techniques per our company standard training, is essential.
* Flexibility working around flight schedules is essential for successful completion of tasks.
* Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective communication with colleagues and clients.
* Neat and tidy presentation is expected in this role.
* A National Police Check is required due to the nature of the Aviation Services industry.
* Availability to work 38 hours/week, as this role is a full-time permanent position, is required.
