THE CLIENT
An established and highly respected organisation operating across multiple entities nationally, known for strong values, stability and a commitment to operational excellence. This business is investing in its payroll function and is seeking an experienced Group Payroll Manager (Reporting to the Head Of Payroll) to lead, mentor and uplift a large payroll team while ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll outcomes.

THE ROLE
* Oversee and manage full payroll function across multiple entities ensuring all payrolls are processed accurately, on time and in full compliance with legislation, awards and EBAs
* Lead, coach and develop a centralised payroll team of 10
* Manage payroll escalations for complex matters including terminations, super, payroll tax and legislative interpretation
* Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service and continuous improvement
* Develop, maintain and improve payroll processes, checklists and documentation
* Support payroll audits and ongoing compliance requirements
* Lead and deliver payroll improvement and system enhancement projects
* Ensure cross‐training within the team so payrolls are fully supported at all times
Key Requirements
* Strong BAU operational payroll management experience (5+ years) across multiple entities, with proven experience managing and developing teams
* Salary is dependant on systems, industry and level of experience
* Deep end to end payroll knowledge including PAYG, Super, Tax, WC, year end and understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
* iChris/Chris21 experience is essential (UKG and Workday experience is highly regarded)
* Strong Excel capability
* Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders
