Role Overview:
We are seeking an Aboriginal Liaison Officer to play a key role in advocacy, education, and support for patients and their families. This position will act as an intermediary between patients and other healthcare staff, improving cultural competence among healthcare workers to increase trust with Indigenous patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide cultural awareness training to hospital staff
* Act as a liaison between hospital staff, Aboriginal Health Workers, local communities, and organisations
* Maintain effective working relationships across various stakeholders
