Our Team
Thales Australia provides comprehensive Air Traffic Services solutions, including the Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS / OneSKY), enhancing safety, efficiency, and environmental outcomes in Australian airspace.
The Role
You will work within an international multidisciplinary team focusing on ergonomic/UX design and development of the Air Traffic Management system, primarily using FIGMA for mock-ups, in a co-engineering environment with operational users.
This position is based in Melbourne, Australia, with full visa and relocation support for suitable candidates outside Australia.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in co-engineering within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
* Design system functions via mock-ups, including requirements, capability descriptions, functional behavior, and data exchanges
* Consider transversal constraints such as Human Factors, Safety, Performance, Security
* Build and maintain relationships with OPS and feature teams
* Present mock-ups to teams and stakeholders
* Support development processes
Qualifications
* Degree in UX Engineering, ergonomics, or related field
* Postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering (desirable)
Experience
* At least 5+ years in UX Engineering
* At least 5+ years ergonomic experience
* Experience in Air Traffic Management areas such as Coordination, Surveillance, HMI, Safety Nets, etc.
* Knowledge of Human Factors standards and practices
