Connex Solutions is an Adelaide head office based telecommunications and electrical services business delivering service and projects work across commercial and industrial sectors. With delivery offices in Adelaide and Melbourne, we are in a strong period of growth with further expansion forming part of our strategic direction. We are building out our finance function to match – and this is a newly created role at the heart of it.
The Role
This is a hands‐on accounting role with genuine exposure across all aspects of the business; from transactional processing through to balance sheet ownership and management reporting inputs. You will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and your work will have a direct impact on senior leadership decision‐making. For the right person, this is an exceptional launchpad for a career in commercial finance.

Your Responsibilities
* Full bookkeeping function, including ownership of Xero
* Accounts payable management, including end‐of‐month payment runs
* Builder retentions tracking and reconciliation
* Debtor management and follow‐up
* Job cost reporting, ensuring accurate data flows from our automated invoice capturing software through to our job costing software and into Xero
* Stock allocation management
* Balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
* Assistance to the Senior Finance Manager with ad‐hoc accounting tasks
As You Grow Into the Role
* End‐of‐month departmental reporting
* Assistance with cash‐flow reporting and analysis
* Intercompany account reconciliations
About You
* 1–3 years of experience in an accounting firm
* Tertiary qualification in accounting
* Hands‐on experience with Xero
* Strong Excel skills with a drive to continuously develop and improve
* A genuine interest in technology and AI‐driven process improvement
* A drive to automate and improve – you see inefficiency and want to fix it
* Currently studying towards CA/CPA qualification or ambition to
* A collaborative, team‐first approach
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
