Job Title: Music Education Professional
The role of an instrumental and classroom music teacher is to provide high-quality educational services in a multi-age setting, teaching both instrumental and classroom music two days a week. The successful candidate will have relevant teaching experience as an instrumental and classroom music teacher, preferably in a multi-age setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop engaging lesson plans and unit materials aligned with curriculum requirements
* Lead small group sessions for strings, violins, vocals, and bands based on expertise
* Facilitate before-school Excellence Strings rehearsals from 8:00–8:30am twice a week
* Promote student-centered learning approaches
* Foster effective communication among staff
* Nurture relationships between parents, the community, and the school
* Evaluate and report on student progress
* Provide individual performance feedback to students and their parents
* Adept at integrating technology into pedagogy
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant teaching experience as an instrumental and classroom music teacher
* Current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
* Comfortable adapting to modern teaching methods and technologies
