An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join an independent government body delivering critical services across Victoria.
In this role, you will support the delivery of end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and compliant processing across a diverse and high-volume workforce. You'll play a key part in fortnightly payroll, while also contributing to large-scale operational events requiring payroll support for a significant temporary workforce.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll, including superannuation, STP and reconciliations
* Managing payroll queries and providing accurate advice to employees and stakeholders
* Ensuring payroll compliance with relevant legislation, awards and policies
* Performing audits, reporting and quality checks to maintain data integrity
* Supporting payroll projects, system updates, testing and process improvements
* Assisting with payroll operations during peak periods and major workforce events
About You
* Proven experience in end-to-end payroll within a complex environment
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax and superannuation
* Experience with payroll systems (Aurion or similar highly regarded)
* Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
