Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time. Hours: 32 hours per fortnight with the potential to increase to full-time. Practice Information: This small, privately-owned general practice, works collaboratively to deliver high-quality, individualised care to all. They are a mixed billings practice with a significant proportion of patients with chronic disease and complex medical issues. The Practice is seeking a motivated, energetic nurse to work with our full-time practice nurse in supporting the doctors to provide comprehensive, quality healthcare. Position Description: The Practice Nurse plays a pivotal role within the clinic, liaising with patients, general practitioners and administration staff. This key role facilitates an environment of organisation, co-operation and support to allow all clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include: Patient triage, wound management and assisting with minor procedures Administering injections, including childhood and travel immunisations Co-ordination of the treatment room including stock control, sterilisation of instruments and diary management Management of chronic disease and care planning Performing health assessments across the range of practice demographics Participation in delivery of patient education and health promotion Cold chain management Infection control General treatment room duties including IV infusions, ECG, spirometry, audiometry, ear syringing, etc Management of the recall register Accurate and timely maintenance of patient records Qualifications & Experience: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Current CPR certification Previous experience in general practice or similar healthcare setting, or experience in managing chronic disease Ability to work under pressure Pro-active with a can-do attitude Excellent time management skills, with capacity to multitask and prioritise own tasks Computer literacy, including the ability to touch-type Experience with Best Practice software or similar Professional presentation After Hours Requirements: No Salary Information: $35.00 - $38.50 per hour (rate is dependent on skills and experience).
