About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Contracting Officer to undertake a range of various contract, administration and financial analysis tasks across multiple grant programs. This role ensures compliance, governance and efficient administration in accordance with policies, strategies and standards to deliver effective and targeted grants funding.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertake a range of administrative tasks that support the efficient and compliant delivery of contract management and grant administration of multiple grant funding and other programs.
* Contribute to a range of projects, programs, and other initiatives to support the efficient and compliant delivery of end-to-end grant administration.
* Compile, analyse, interpret and report on data and other information to inform performance monitoring, project and program design, implementation, evaluation and strategy.
* Undertake research activities, source and collate information, providing advice and contributing to the preparation of reports, presentations, briefings, and other correspondence for senior management.
* Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding contracting status, compliance and milestone delivery issues.
* Provide a range of secretariate and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to contract management delivery.
* Assist in the drafting of informed and accurate briefings and correspondence in response to Ministerial, Cabinet, departmental and community requests.
What we are looking for
* Strong financial and administration skills with a preference for experience in grants.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Aptitude for managing data and financial information affectively.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, timely outcomes with strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* High level attention to detail, ability to work in a busy environment with competing priorities and projects whilst providing quality customer service to a range of stakeholders.
* Relevant professional experience and knowledge of SmartyGrants or similar grant systems would be preferable.
