An essential processing facility is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Join a small, supportive team maintaining modern industrial equipment in a fast‐paced production environment operating 6-7 days per week.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll work within a small team and report to the Maintenance Manager. Your primary focus is delivering high‐quality reactive and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure the safety and reliability of all plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform reactive and preventative maintenance across industrial machinery
* Investigate equipment breakdowns, diagnose causes, and carry out repairs
* Conduct routine inspections and provide improvement recommendations
* Coordinate repairs with internal teams and external contractors
* Maintain accurate records and update maintenance requests in the MEX system
* Support spare parts inventory control and maintenance projects
* Operate ICT tools such as mobile devices, tablets, and 2‐way radios
* Follow all WHS standards, SWMS, SOPs, and industry best practices
* Participate in incident investigations and improvement initiatives
* Work closely with production teams to minimise operational disruptions
What You Need
Professional / Technical
* Recognised trade or tertiary qualification in mechanical or electrical fields
* Experience in manufacturing, processing, or commercial/industrial environments
* Strong experience across both reactive and preventative maintenance
* Class C Driver's Licence
* Availability for morning or afternoon shifts, including overtime, weekends & public holidays
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical
