About the role
The Training Market Operations Officer assists with the preparation and administration of training contracts, operating guidelines and policies to enable the implementation of subsidised programs to support the effective operation of vocational education and training in NSW.
Key accountabilities
* Develop operational policies and procedures and provide advice to support effective vocational education and training across NSW.
* Prepare contract specifications and supporting material to align training with government priorities and industry needs.
* Manage provider contracts and ensure compliance with government procurement and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain the register of contracted providers and ensure accurate, up-to-date information.
* Identify contract risks, escalate issues to management, and provide clear reports, briefings and stakeholder advice.

* Respond to sensitive and complex enquiries and complaints from training providers, students and stakeholders with sound judgement and professionalism.
* Apply strong judgement to resolve issues and support fair, consistent outcomes.
* Communicate clearly with stakeholders to address concerns and maintain productive working relationships.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
