About Macallan College

Macallan College is a well-established and leading provider of Vocational Education courses for international students. As we experience rapid growth, we are expanding our team, campuses, and course offerings to meet our strategic goals.

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Business Development Manager to enhance Macallan College's digital and physical presence. Reporting directly to the National Marketing Manager, and working closely with the national admissions team, you will drive enrolments, marketing, communications, and community engagement while ensuring the college remains a respected name in the international education sector.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual with a passion for excellence and a desire to grow within a collaborative and high-performing team. As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with agents, students, industry partners, and regulatory bodies to deliver targeted marketing campaigns, achieve recruitment goals, and strengthen the Macallan College brand.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, expertise in marketing, and a solid understanding of the education sector, coupled with the ability to analyse data, manage budgets, and forecast effectively. Demonstrating existing networks with stakeholders in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Industry will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute marketing and recruitment strategies to promote the Macallan College brand and achieve enrolment targets.
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and challenges.
* Set and track KPIs for marketing and recruitment activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
* Build and maintain relationships with agents, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen networks.
* Manage the admissions process, including monitoring leads, handling applications, and following up on the issuance of COEs as needed.
* Design and distribute marketing materials across multiple channels, ensuring high-quality output.
* Create and manage budgets for marketing and recruitment initiatives.
* Monitor and analyse internal and external data to guide strategic decisions and enhance operations.
* Stay updated on local and international student market trends and government policies.
* Conduct audits of marketing materials and agent evaluations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Identify and represent Macallan College at local education fairs and stakeholder events.

Qualifications and Skills Required

* A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the international education sector.
* Proven expertise in digital and multi-channel marketing (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube).
* Strong knowledge of ELICOS and VET sectors and Australian immigration policies (knowledge of the Higher Education sector well regarded).
* Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding recruitment targets.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships.
* Advanced digital literacy with the ability to analyse data.
* Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and work in a self-directed manner.
* Willingness to travel as required, both within Australia and internationally.
