Job Role:
Safeguarding animals in the Illawarra region is a critical role that requires an inspector to investigate welfare complaints, enforce relevant legislation, educate the community on responsible animal care, remove animals at risk, communicate with stakeholders, interpret legislation, and conduct thorough investigations.
* Investigate animal welfare complaints thoroughly
* Enforce laws related to animal welfare
* Raise awareness about responsible animal care among the community
* Remove animals facing risks promptly
* Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders
* Provide guidance on legislation and regulations
* Conduct comprehensive and impartial investigations
About You:
* Demonstrated experience in enforcing laws
* Strong written communication skills
* Conflict resolution skills are essential
* Animal care and handling expertise is required
* A Certificate IV in Government Investigations or willingness to obtain it within a specified timeframe is expected
* A current driver's license and Firearms Licence are necessary
