**About the role**:
We have an opening for a National Sales Manager to report to the Chief Operating Officer based in our Queensland Head Office in Coopers Plains (Southern Brisbane suburb). We are seeking an energetic and proactive individual to manage the sales and marketing of our business and to provide leadership to our Business development team.
Duties will include:
- Management of the company sales function including the responsibility of establishing and monitoring sales budgets
- Developing sales strategies to drive growth and meet sales targets
- Identification and conversion of new business opportunities in existing and new customers
- Managing the cost of sales delivery whilst achieving fundamental customer service; and leading ongoing sales improvement initiatives
- Managing major accounts / relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to manage complex major sales that may have a project delivery component
- Monitoring and identifying industry trends and opportunities
- Providing leadership and mentoring to business development team members
- Proactively supporting the sales team in achieving set sales targets
- Recruiting, inducting and training new sales team members
- Implementing marketing plans and management of company marketing materials
- Reporting to Chief Operating Officer regarding company sales performance
- Previous experience in a lead/management sales role
- Previous experience managing staff
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (Preferably Marketing)
- Strong business acumen in all areas of business particularly sales and marketing
- Strong communication, customer service and negotiation skills
- Experience in the Manufacturing / Engineering industry (Desirable)
