Operator Water and Sewer Network
This is an exciting opportunity to join our water operations team as a skilled network operator.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to work with us in delivering our renewals program, asset operational condition assessment, operation, repair and maintenance of water supply and wastewater network assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing water and sewer infrastructure to relevant industry standards.
The role requires participation in a rotating roster for after-hours on-call duties and/or being available for planned after-hours programs or specific projects. You will also be required to maintain relevant administrative records and details, including written and electronic capture, produce works as executed information for activities and verification for existing assets for GIS records, and complete all tasks in an environmentally compliant manner.
About the Role
Key Accountabilities:
1. Construct, maintain, and repair water and sewer infrastructure to relevant WSAA Codes, Auspec 400/500 Series specifications, and AS 3500.
2. Participate in a rotating roster for after-hours on-call duties and/or be available for planned after-hours programs or specific projects.
3. Maintain relevant administrative records and details, including written and electronic capture.
4. Produce works as executed information for activities and verification for existing assets for GIS records.
5. Complete all tasks in an environmentally compliant manner.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* A current Class C Drivers Licence
* A General Construction Induction Card
* A trade qualification in Plumbing or a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations
You will possess relevant experience in the water, sewer, infrastructure, maintenance, or construction sectors, as well as sound communications, literacy, and numeracy skills. You will also have a working knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements and legislation and the physical ability to perform laboring duties.
