About the Role

As the Head of Department, Student Services, you will play a pivotal role in driving initiatives that support and enhance educational outcomes for all students. Your leadership will align closely with the vision of the Early Childhood and State Schools Division, ensuring its integration into strategic school planning and everyday practice. You will be instrumental in fostering continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and learning, creating an environment where both students and educators can thrive. Central to your role will be nurturing strong, positive relationships among students, teachers, and the wider community, promoting a supportive and inclusive school culture that enables every learner to succeed.

Your Responsibilities

As the Head of Department - Student Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance in schools where a significant percentage of students may have a disadvantaged background, ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Where requested, prepare all data returns for the Principal.
* Provide management and engagement strategies including induction activities of new arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of new arrivals.
* Monitor students' individual performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
