We're seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll for around 500 staff in a well-established and supportive organisation based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. You'll work closely with HR and Finance and lead a Payroll Officer in a role that's full-time, permanent, and offers hybrid flexibility. What you'll do Manage end-to-end payroll for all staff. Lead and mentor a Payroll Officer. Interpret complex awards and legislation (CMEA, Fair Work Act, NES). Handle superannuation, taxation, salary packaging, and entitlements. Provide payroll reporting and insights to leadership teams. Streamline processes and support payroll system improvements. Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries. What we're looking for Proven payroll management experience. Strong knowledge of CMEA and complex award interpretation. Resilient, adaptable, and confident managing competing priorities. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Detail-focused with high accuracy and confidentiality. Current Working with Children Check and Australian work rights.
