Colorectal Fellow – Cabrini Monash University Department of Surgery, 12‐month appointment commencing 1 February 2027 – 6 February 2028.
Overview
The Cabrini Monash University Department of Surgery focuses on high‐quality clinical and basic science research, aiming to translate clinically important questions into better patient care. The Colorectal Specialty Group performs high‐volume colorectal surgery, including robotic, laparoscopic, transanal, anorectal physiology, and benign disease management.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the clinical management of colorectal inpatients and emergencies under supervision of colorectal surgeons.
* Participate in colorectal audit activities.
* Engage in the department's clinical and translational research program.
* Contribute to the undergraduate teaching program.
* Part‐time contract with private assisting to total full‐time equivalence.
Qualifications
* Fellowship in General Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent.
* Registered Medical Practitioner with relevant experience.
* Senior registrar level, preferably FRACS or equivalent.
* Australian medical registration essential.
