Counsellor Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Counsellor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive one-to-one and group work services, including counselling, crisis intervention and advocacy for individuals who have experienced sexual assault.
The ideal candidate will have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. They will also have demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long-term counselling and group work services.
In this role, you will work with individuals aged 16 and over who have experienced sexual assault, providing them with support and guidance. You will also undertake research and projects, provide education and training programs, and make referrals as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long-term counselling and group work services.
* Demonstrated experience working in crisis and trauma situations.
