Clinical Midwife Specialist- Endorsed Midwife (Caseload)
This role provides advanced holistic, evidence-based midwifery assessment, diagnosis, care and intervention to pregnant people and families within the scope of practice of an Endorsed Midwife in a Caseload model (known as Midwifery Group Practice). The role is responsible for the utilisation of human, financial and material resources in a Caseload Model.
The successful candidate will work with individuals and families across their lifespan, promoting healthy pregnancy outcomes, normalising childbirth, and supporting breastfeeding. You will also be involved in multidisciplinary teams working collaboratively to provide holistic care that meets the unique needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities
* Midwifery Care:
* Provide comprehensive midwifery care to women and families during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
* Assess and identify the physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs of clients and develop individualised care plans to meet these needs.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination.
* Education and Research:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs and initiatives that promote health and wellbeing among communities served.
* Participate in research activities to advance knowledge and improve clinical practice in the field of midwifery.
* Professional Development:
* Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to maintain currency in best-practice midwifery care and stay up-to-date with changing healthcare policies and regulations.
* Engage in peer support and mentoring activities to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
