We currently monitor the SEQ public transport network 7 days a week, proactively monitoring network operations and service connectivity with a particular focus on peak commuter periods, and during major sporting and cultural events
Using a variety of real-time performance systems, historical data analysis and on the-ground intelligence from Customer Liaison Officers, Senior Network Officers, and Busway Safety Officers to identify disruptions as they occur on the network, Translink's Operations Centre assesses the severity and likely impact to customers during the incident and works with delivery partners to coordinate an appropriate multi-modal response.
**Accountabilities include**:
- Assist the Manager, Passenger Transport Coordination with the establishment of Translink's real-time communication function within the Translink Operations Centre.
- Assist with the development of the operational policy framework for the real-time communications function along with the overarching implementation strategy.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate communication and engagement strategies to tight timeframes and within budget, including the delivery of stakeholder messaging and tactic delivery.
- Undertake detailed stakeholder engagement, including facilitated workshops, with Translink's business partners to ensure that processes are operationally sound, and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency across business units.
- Provide expert advice and development on a recruitment and selection strategy as part of the development of the real-time communications function within the organisation.
- Identify, manage, and report on implementation risks and issues, and evaluate options to resolve and mitigate these.
- Provide assistance (where required) to the Manager, Passenger Transport Coordination in managing complex and contentious issues relating to change management process during the implementation phase.
- Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including other government agencies, event promoters, local communities, and urban transit service providers.
- Identify and implement business improvement opportunities across the Translink Operations Centre portfolio.
This position reports to the Manager Passenger Transport Coordination and has no direct reports.
