Overview
W.A's leading bullbar manufacturer, Irvin Bullbars, is seeking an experienced and motivated Fitter to join our fitting team in Midvale. This is a permanent full-time role with excellent conditions, career progression, and the chance to work with an established and respected local employer.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
* Assemble, fit and install bullbars, undercarriage protection systems (FUPS), and other vehicle accessories.
* Interpret and work from technical drawings and job specifications to prepare, stage, and fit components.
* Align, adjust and test components to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.
* Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform fitting and assembly work.
* Carry out quality control checks and maintain accurate job records.
* Maintain and service tools and equipment used in fitting operations.
* Support workflow by collaborating with fabrication, warehouse, and quality control teams.
* Comply with all workplace health and safety (WHS) and housekeeping standards.
Skills and Experience
* A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Automotive, or a related discipline (minimum Certificate III or equivalent).
* Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or automotive accessory installation.
* A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in mechanical fitting or automotive-related roles.
* The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Experience using hand and power tools; welding experience will be highly regarded.
* Strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
Other Details
* Permanent full-time position with stable hours (Monday–Friday, plus optional Saturday overtime).
* Competitive pay: $30 – $40 per hour (based on experience).
* Ongoing training and upskilling, with opportunities to progress to senior fitter positions.
