Overview

Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is seeking a dedicated Wardsperson to join our Operating Theatres team. In this vital role, you will assist the perioperative team by:

* Helping with patient transfers safely and respectfully
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient theatre environment
* Transporting essential items, including blood and pathology specimens
* Upholding best practices in infection control, patient dignity, and workplace safety

With 2–3 surgical lists running per day, every day brings variety and opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Theatre assignments: Theatre One: Orthopaedics, Ophthalmic; Theatre Two: General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Emergencies; Theatre Three: Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Urology, Emergencies; Theatre Four: All Endoscopic Procedures


Remuneration and Details

* Remuneration: $29.48 per hour + Superannuation + Salary Packaging
* Employment Type: Permanent Part Time
* Position Classification: Hospital Assistant Grade 3
* Hours Per Week: 36 hrs/week
* Closing Date: Sunday, 12 October 2025
