**Job Opportunity:** Agricultural Development Underwriter – UK-Wide
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Agricultural Development Underwriter to join their team. As an Agricultural Development Underwriter, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex cases, managing renewal and new business.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Contributing to and implementing underwriting strategy across all products, aligning with established risk appetite.
* Underwrite profitable new and renewal business, both remotely and whilst attending brokers' offices.
* Directly impact financial KPIs by balancing revenue growth with underwriting profitability.
* Uphold service standards on all authorised products, ensuring Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) is woven into your approach at all times.
* Analyze distribution trends and broker behaviours to inform future strategies.
* Build meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships with in-house and 3rd party brokers.
* Manage quality assurance and peer reviews to identify opportunities for underwriting and product improvements.
* Keep abreast of market trends and developments in your industry segments, building strong relationships with capacity partners.
**Requirements:
For this role, we are seeking individuals who have:
* Experience as a Development Underwriter or Farm Underwriter, preferably with a trader's mentality.
* Knowledge of Agricultural insurance and good understanding of unique risks faced by those living and working in the countryside.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Good numeracy and IT skills.
* Well-organised with excellent task-management skills.
