BESIX Watpac have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Support Technician to join our Information Services team in our Brisbane head office enabling improved business outcomes through delivery of IS operations that meet or exceed business expectations.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Provide first point of contact to Staff Members and log all incoming Service Desk incidents and service requests in the call logging system, with comprehensive details.
- Occasional site visits to project sites.
- Respond to and resolve incidents / service requests within agreed Service Levels. As per ITIL definitions, identify, log and manage problems, in consultation with the Service Desk Team Leader/IS Service Delivery and Operations Manager.
- Provide expert first and second level technical support to the business (including installation, configuration and deployment). Support to include; hardware, software, desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile / smartphone, printer, copier & other solutions in use within BESIX Watpac.
- Owning end to end issues and leveraging external vendors to deliver support outcomes as per contracted Service Levels and/or end-user expectations.
- Maintain the IS Asset Register to manage provision, recovery or retirement of IS assets. This includes receiving, deployment, retrieval and eventual disposal of all IS related equipment.
- Train staff on the use of hardware, software and remote access used throughout the business.
- Create and maintain Service Desk documentation for both IS and end-user use.
- Proactive and preventative support and maintenance to prevent issues occurring
- Drive improved customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications**:
The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a similar role.
- Tertiary education in an IT related field (Desirable).
- Intermediate knowledge in hardware, video conference and software including Microsoft products, knowledge of networking equipment and protocols.
- Ability to communicate effectively around technical matters in a non-technical audience.
- High level of problem-solving abilities with an ability to participate professionally and cohesively within a small solution focussed team environment.
- Experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft products including, but not limited to. 365 Admin Centre, Azure Active Directory, Teams, SCCM and Intune.
- Relevant civil, mining and/or construction industry experience highly desirable.
- Relevant Microsoft product knowledge highly desirable
