(JHD) is a small engineering consultancy based in Perth, our office is currently based in East Rockingham (likely to relocate in the next 1-2 months somewhere more central, such as O'Connor, but will remain in Southern suburbs)
JHD specialises in the industrial design sector. Specifically, our focus is upon the mechanical/structural design and drafting for plant, equipment & product developments and upgrades for industrial manufacturers, producers and miners. We are seeking a
3D Designer (structural / mechanical)
with interest and experience in the structural and mechanical design realms, and whom has a keen interest in the design of plant & equipment.

Role Requirements
:
Autodesk Inventor 3D modelling and drafting skillset
· Note that Inventor is our primary drafting software so deep familiarity with this software will be crucial.
Experience in mining and/or industrial equipment
Experience in structural or mechanical drafting (preferably both)
Technically minded, mechanically minded
Experience in/with shop manufacturing (drawings)
High level of computer literacy
Description of Work:
3D modelling, presentation, and shop detailing for a wide range of equipment, such as:
Plant & factory layout (overall plant design and arrangement)
Custom machinery and prototype design thereof
3D point cloud overlay (on Brownfields jobs)
Mechanised automation plant
Product handling systems (transport systems for raw materials, bulk materials, finished products, etc) e.g. Conveyors, Pneumatic transport, Screws & augers, Bucket elevators
Fixed infrastructure (supporting structures, access structures, etc)
