About The Role
Formed in ****, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
As a Ward Clerk (Clinical Service Administrative Officer) you will provide, develop and maintain optimum operational support within the Emergency Department. Your duties will include assisting with the clerical component of the nursing admission and answering phones, filing patient documents, computer data entry, answering patient enquiries, paging doctors as required, and collection of medical records.

Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated administrative and clerical support skills including skills in the use of varied computer packages, and the ability to acquire new skills.
Demonstrated communication skills incorporating the abilities of courtesy, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology or the ability to quickly acquire such knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and utilise discretion, meet deadlines, prioritise, and work as an efficient team member.
