About the Role
We are advertising on behalf of our client, a well-established restaurant in Cowes, seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join their professional team. This is a full-time role offering competitive pay, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes.
* Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
* Develop and test new recipes.
* Cater for special dietary requirements.
* Assist with menu planning and stock control.
* Maintain a clean and safe kitchen.
Qualifications and Skills
* Certificate III/IV, Diploma, or higher in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
* Minimum 1–3 years of proven experience as a Chef.
* Strong cooking knowledge and ability to use commercial kitchen equipment.
* Understanding of European and English culinary traditions (or willingness to learn).
* Ability to work full-time on a rotating roster.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
