$68 per hour super | 35 hours per week NSW State Government | St Leonards (hybrid working arrangement) ASAP Start | Estimated 6-month assignment About the Role Our client, a NSW government agency, is seeking a motivated Project Officer to deliver the Healthy Food Information Service (HFIS). This role supports the state-wide implementation, monitoring, and reporting of initiatives to promote healthy eating in schools and health facilities. Responsibilities Conduct menu check assessments for schools, ensuring alignment with healthy eating guidelines and the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy. Provide practical advice and support to canteen operators to improve menu offerings. Manage incoming phone and email enquiries regarding healthy food programs, menu checks, and policy requirements. Maintain accurate service records and contribute to monitoring, reporting, and continuous quality improvement. Prepare reports and submissions as required. About You Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition, Dietetics, Health, or a related discipline (Bachelor’s degree minimum; postgraduate qualifications highly regarded). Experience delivering health promotion programs, ideally within school, childhood, or nutrition-focused settings. Knowledge of obesity prevention, chronic disease prevention, and health promotion, particularly for children and young people. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities during peak periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical guidance to diverse audiences.
