One of Australia's leading diversified food and agribusiness companies is currently seeking experienced Knife Hands, and Boners (butchers) who are passionate, hardworking, and dedicated people to join the team at Wooroloo, Western Australia.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Cut, trim, debone, and portion meat products according to specifications
- Operate meat processing equipment and tools, such as grinders, slicers, and knives
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies
- Assist in training new employees
- Understanding and complying with all safety policies, procedures, and practices
Your Essential Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in processing meat, ideally pork, meat trimming and slicing
- Holds AQF Cert III in meat processing or been assessed and verified by a MINTRAC registered assessor as having skill level commensurate to AQF Cert III in meat processing; and
- Knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
- Familiarity with meat processing equipment and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends, if required
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
