Project Officer Office of the Deputy Secretary Location - Parramatta Employment type – Ongoing, full-time role Salary - $110,266.00 pa - $122,058.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic office environment of the Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services, where you will provide a range of secretariat, administrative, and project support services. This may include the provision of advice, including briefings and reports; managing projects, and implementing strategies which support Corporate Services initiatives and programs. Your ability to work in a fast-paced confidential environment balance competing demands, whilst building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders will see you succeed in this role. What you’ll do The Business Coordination team is the main point of contact for all queries which relate to Corporate Services functions within the Department of Communities and Justice. As a Project Officer in the Business Coordination team, you will play an important role coordinating Corporate Services review and input to briefing notes, correspondence and requests for advice. The ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including Ministerial and Parliamentary Services and other Divisions in the Department of Communities and Justice is critical. What we’re looking for In addition to the essential requirements the ideal candidate will have: • Excellent written communication skills and verbal communication with the ability to establish strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. • Strong knowledge of ministerial correspondence and experience drafting briefing notes and correspondence. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail. • Project management experience with the ability to identify trends and emerging issues and develop project plans. • Excellent organisational and workflow management skills • Strong working knowledge of records management principles and Microsoft applications. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
