Archivist Role Overview
Royal Sydney's Archivist plays a vital role in safeguarding its rich history by preserving documents and artefacts.
* Gathering and documenting knowledge of Royal Sydney's history, past activities and present developments.
* Ensuring the archival database remains accurate, accessible and up-to-date.
* Researching and responding to historical or archival enquiries from members and staff.
* Supporting communications projects by providing historical context, stories and imagery for use in newsletters, publications, displays and digital channels.
* Assisting with the curation of small exhibitions and heritage displays across the Club.
We are seeking a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic part-time Archivist (2 days per week) to join our communications team. This role combines hands-on archival management with creative storytelling, contributing to how the Club's legacy is curated, interpreted and shared.
The ideal candidate will have excellent research skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently. They will also be able to communicate effectively with staff and members, providing accurate and helpful information.
