Position Summary
As an Estimator at SAGE, you will be responsible for a strong technical understanding, project delivery, commercial and contractual knowledge with sound estimating principles to win profitable work. You will analyse information, conceptually design solutions, coordinate and liaise with internal and external parties, identify and mitigate risks and provide specialist support to the company. Estimators are accountable for competently and successfully delivering accurate cost estimates and high‐quality competitive submissions.
In This Role You Will
* Research and elicit scope deliverables
* Develop and manage proposal budgets and timelines
* Undertake project conceptualisation, identifying the key requirements for developing the proposal
* Identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies and contingencies
* Plan and manage the quality of deliverables
* Accurately estimate the cost and duration of the solution, identifying reduced cost methods to deliver outcomes
* Negotiate pricing with suppliers
* Develop high quality proposals that meet the customer's requirements
* Develop proposals that adhere to or exclude contract conditions
* Manage internal proposal review and approval process
* Develop and incorporate 'Bid to Win' strategies in proposals
* Proposals are submitted on time
* Handover successful proposals and transfer knowledge to the delivery team
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the electrical/automation industry.
* Proven experience in estimation, and profitable delivery, of electrical/automation projects.
* Strong technical, commercial, communication, numerical and grammatical skills.
* You will be an Australian Citizen with the ability to get a defence baseline clearance.
