About the Role
The Registered Midwife is responsible for the provision of woman centred; evidence- based midwifery care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Midwife will assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Registered Midwives on the Casual Pool will have the opportunity to work across the maternity service including Antenatal Outpatients, High Risk Antenatal Ward, Delivery Unit, Postnatal Ward, and Midwifery in the Home.
Casual Pool staff are expected to work a minimum of 1 shift per month.

Ideal Candidate
* Current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Recency of midwifery practice
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong computer skills including Internet and email, and familiarity with health information systems
* Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
