The role of Gatehouse Security Officer is a critical position that plays a significant part in maintaining the safety and security of our facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing gatehouse operations, ensuring secure access control, surveillance, and prompt incident response across the facility.
 * Management of vehicle movement and access control for both vehicles and personnel will be a key aspect of this role.
 * Emails, administration, and required reporting will also be essential duties.
 * Checking identification cards of incoming staff is crucial to ensure authorized access only.
 * The officer will identify and report any potential security risks to the client contact and services manager.
 * Foot patrol duties will require regular presence on site to monitor activity.
 * Accurate completion of logbooks and timely reporting are necessary to maintain up-to-date records.
 * The officer will provide perimeter security by preventing unauthorized access to the site or vulnerabilities to physical and electronic security integrity.
 * Surveillance and monitoring of all entry gates, site buildings, and grounds via CCTV, and visitor management system processes are vital responsibilities.
Requirements
 * Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role with demonstrated ability to manage client relationships.
 * Security License of the State or Territory in which you work and Senior First Aid certificate are mandatory requirements.
 * Ability to work long hours including 12-hour shifts on a full-time basis is expected.
 * Capacity to work in a high-pressure environment and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
 * Advanced Computer Skills - literacy in MS Office products are necessary for success in this role.
 * Excellent communication skills - verbal & written - are vital for effective interaction with stakeholders.
 * Report writing and presentation skills are also essential for this position.
