Position Information
Narromine High School is a vibrant and inclusive 7‐12 comprehensive high school, situated just 25 minutes from the regional hub of Dubbo. We take pride in our diverse academic, sporting, and creative programs, where students thrive and excel across various fields. Our school community is enriched by a student population that comprises 72% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island students. We value our strong partnerships with the local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group, Parents and Citizens Organisation, and the Local Aboriginal Land Council. Additionally, we maintain meaningful connections with local primary schools, ensuring a seamless transition for students from Year 6 to Year 7 through our comprehensive transition program.
At Narromine High School, we are dedicated to the wellbeing of our students and the wider community. Our Wellbeing Hub is designed to support health, social, and educational needs. We also offer three support classes, including two Multi‐Categorical classes and one Moderate Intellectual/Autism class, reflecting our commitment to inclusive education and effective integration practices.

Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to Teach 7‐12 Science, with the ability or demonstrated capacity to teach Stage 6 Chemistry or Physics.
* The capacity to design and deliver innovative, differentiated, and inclusive programs for a diverse range of student learning needs in a science classroom.
* Well‐developed interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
* Understanding and commitment to the NSW Department of Education's Aboriginal Education Policy.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
