Position: Team Leader – Social Worker or Provisional Psychologist
Position Overview:
This leadership role is ideal for an experienced Social Worker or a Provisional Psychologist seeking to expand their impact within a multidisciplinary employment services team. The Team Leader provides frontline leadership, clinical guidance (in line with their scope), and operational support to case managers and allied staff who assist individuals with complex psychosocial barriers to employment.
Supervision and mentoring will be provided for Provisional Psychologists working toward full registration.

The Team Leader provides frontline leadership, clinical guidance (in line with their scope), and operational support to case managers and allied staff who assist individuals with complex psychosocial barriers to employment.
Supervision and mentoring will be provided for Provisional Psychologists working toward full registration.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Coordination and Leadership
* Support and coordinate a small team of employment consultants, social workers, and support staff.
* Facilitate case conferences, reflective practice, and performance support.
* Promote evidence-based practice and client-centered service delivery.
Client Support and Supervision (within scope)
* Conduct or support psychosocial assessments and contribute to vocational goal planning.
* Guide the use of appropriate interventions (e.g., CBT-based coaching, motivational interviewing).
* Manage a small caseload, particularly complex or high-risk clients, as appropriate.
Program and Service Development
* Contribute to the design and evaluation of employment pathways and psychosocial programs.
* Support data collection, reporting, and service quality reviews.
* Ensure services align with relevant ethical, legal, and policy standards.
Stakeholder and Community Engagement
* Build strong relationships with employers, mental health services, and community partners.
* Promote inclusive and culturally safe employment practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
* Tertiary qualifications in Registered or Provisional Psychologist or Social Work.
* Full or Provisional registration with AHPRA (Psychologists) or eligibility for AASW (Social Workers).
* Experience supporting individuals with mental health, disability, or long-term unemployment.
* Understanding of trauma-informed care, recovery models, and psychosocial support.
Desirable:
* Experience in the employment services sector (e.g. Workforce Australia, DES, NDIS).
* Experience in a leadership, mentoring, or training role (formal or informal).
* Knowledge of job readiness programs, employment policy, or psychosocial interventions.
Supervision:
1. Provisional Psychologists will receive board-approved supervision aligned with their internship plan.
