Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst
The Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman's (FWO) Regulatory Transformation Group seeks highly motivated and experienced Business Analysts to join its team.
This is an opportunity to work in a high-profile area with a focus on compliance and enforcement, using data, intelligence, reporting, systems, and technology capabilities to drive business outcomes.
About the Role:
* Deliver cross-functional workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional specifications for delivery
* Conduct gap analyses between current and future states to identify opportunities for improvement through business or ICT changes
* Reengineer and document processes, technical and non-technical specifications to implement solutions that align with agency objectives, governance and standards
* Develop strategies through improved data utilisation, technology adoption, and automation
* Prepare high-quality reports and visualisations such as wireframes, flow diagrams, personas and mock-ups
* Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic decision making
* Plan structured stages of the implementation life cycle from ideation to integration, using best practice methodologies
* Support or lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or frameworks
Key Requirements:
* Expert stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to gather and document business requirements in a range of digestible formats
* Demonstrated experience in business analysis, with a proven ability to research, assess and map processes and specifications within a complex regulatory, operational or ICT environment
* Sound knowledge in business process improvement, with the ability to analyse current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design and map future state solutions
* Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets, draw insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret complex concepts to a broad range of stakeholders
Eligibility Criteria:
* Australian citizenship
* A current Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) or willingness to undergo and obtain a Baseline security clearance
