Landholder Relations Advisor / Land Access Advisor
My client is a well-backed minerals explorer with growing activity across Queensland and they are looking for an experienced Land Access Advisor to own landholder engagement, access agreements and on-ground relationships.
Your role
You will work closely with landholders, communities and the exploration team to ensure access is agreed, understood and delivered in a way that works for both the business and the people on the land.
Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with landholders, graziers, pastoralists and local communities.
Negotiate land access agreements and ensure obligations are understood on both sides.
Manage compliance, agreement registers, access approvals and upcoming work requirements.
Support exploration programs including surveys, drilling, environmental work and cultural heritage activities.
Provide practical advice on tenure, land access, CCAs and relevant Queensland legislation.
Help maintain social licence by identifying issues early and dealing with them in a fair and professional way.
Experience we are looking for
The key to this role is being confident with landholders and able to negotiate without creating unnecessary conflict. Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:
Land access, landholder relations, property access or easement management.
Mining, resources, CSG, renewables, infrastructure or utilities.
Stakeholder engagement or community relations roles involving regional communities.
Tenure, approvals, land valuation, native title or planning.
Rural property, agri business, stock and station or similar land based roles.
State government roles involving land access, regulation or engagement.
Surveying, environmental or cultural heritage roles with field based work.
About you
Strong communicator who can listen, stay calm and work through tricky conversations.
Comfortable explaining agreements in plain English and managing expectations.
Happy working with a smaller team and taking direct responsibility for outcomes.
Practical, down to earth approach with a focus on long term relationships.
Based in Queensland (Brisbane preferred, but other locations considered for the right person).
