This role will see you finding new opportunities, ideating on how to improve our training and people capability program and building and delivering transformational change. You will partner with our Branches, Contact Centre and Virtual teams and key stakeholders across, Product, Risk, Compliance and Learning & Development and to develop local solutions and drive this transformation.
The Manager Training & Capability reports to the Transformation, People and Capability Lead and is responsible for leading a team of learning, communication, and training specialists in the design, delivery and coordination of training and capability activities. You will possess demonstrable expertise in leading capability and training programs within financial services, wealth management or Retail banking environments.
**Your main responsibilities will include**:
- Leading a small team to drive the strategic implementation of WPB Channels capability and training activities.
- Aligning to WPBs global and local capability journey, the role is responsible for contributing towards WPBs continuous improvement in the design, implementation and coordination of capability and training requirements.
- Evaluating content design to ensure it complies with regulatory requirements, including HSBC policies and other fiduciary and compliance obligations.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gain advice and adopt best practices that secure effective execution of capability and training activity.
- Analysis and preparation of capability and training reporting, including presentations and updates to senior management.
- Providing insights and analysis to help understand and prioritise training coordination and delivery.
Requirements
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- Relevant experience in financial services, wealth management or retail banking environments, with demonstrated capability and training in Retail and / or Personal Wealth Management.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver learning projects at a senior level across a multi layered complex organisation. Additional relevant qualifications desirable.
- Extensive experience with leading and coaching high performing teams through training and development to achieve success.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a passion for developing a culture of empowerment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, well organised.
- Strong team motivational, analytical, planning communications, organisational, problem-solving and decision making skills.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrating initiative and maintaining document control and data integrity at all times.
- Strong stakeholder management skills upholding a high standard whilst supporting stakeholders through an ongoing change and capability journey.
