Join the WestCare Centre team as a Support Worker and make a real impact in the lives of people experiencing homelessness, hardship, and social isolation. WestCare Centre is a welcoming community hub in the heart of the city, providing meals, hygiene facilities, and access to housing and health services. In this hands‐on role, you will build trust with clients, offer practical support and referrals, assist with outreach, and help maintain a safe and respectful environment. About you:
You are a compassionate and resilient individual with a strong commitment to supporting people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds. Your understanding of trauma‐informed care, along with your ability to stay calm under pressure, allows you to effectively manage challenging behaviours. You work well both independently and as part of a team, bringing empathy, reliability, and a non‐judgemental approach to every interaction.
