About The Opportunity
As Ecology Manager, you'll take ownership of the ecology division, driving its integration with construction and nursery operations. You'll lead projects end-to-end, manage teams, and provide strategic ecological input that ensures compliance, innovation, and sustainability are at the core of every project.
Reporting to the Business Manager/Director, your responsibilities will include:
* Advising project teams with practical, ecology-based solutions
* Overseeing project budgets, timelines, and compliance reporting
* Leading a team of ecologists and bush regeneration professionals
* Ensuring alignment with NSW environmental legislation and approvals
* Driving collaboration between ecology, construction, and nursery divisions
* Delivering projects across planning, assessment, fieldwork, and reporting stages
* Managing biodiversity offset strategies and identifying new business opportunities
About You
You're a confident, solution-focused ecological professional who's ready to step into a strategic leadership role. With strong operational and stakeholder management skills, you know how to deliver outcomes while maintaining compliance and innovation.
To be successful, you will have:
* A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
* Demonstrated success in managing projects, budgets, and risk
* Hands-on experience in ecological assessments, reporting, and fieldwork
