We're seeking a lawyer with experience in major projects to play a central role in delivering one of the most significant sustainability projects underway in Australia. This is a contract role for an initial period of 7 months, offering a rare opportunity to work end‐to‐end on a landmark project with global visibility and long term environmental impact.
You'll join LOD (Lawyers on Demand) and be seconded to our client, a global company and joint venture partner in the consortium delivering this project. Embedded within their Commercial team, you'll be right at the heart of the action, advising across the full project lifecycle, including:
* negotiating and finalising a large suite of complex commercial and project related contracts;
* supporting all stages of project development, from early planning and environmental approvals through to construction and completion;
* working closely with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and joint venture partners to achieve commercially sound outcomes; and
* contributing to strategic decision making as the project evolves and scales.
This opportunity is available on a part-time (3 days per week) basis.
You
We're looking for a lawyer with a strong commercial mindset and a background in major projects. Ideally, you'll have:
* experience from a leading law firm and an in‐house environment;
* exposure to large scale infrastructure, energy, resources, or sustainability related projects;
* strong contract negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams;
* confidence working with senior stakeholders and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams; and
* a proactive, solutions focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast moving environment.
