The Student Growth & Engagement Division, within the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Growth and Global) portfolio, leads the University of Wollongong's work in engaging prospective students and strengthening pathways into higher education. The Division delivers a broad suite of outreach, recruitment and engagement initiatives across UOW's Wollongong, metropolitan, regional and offshore campuses. Through strong partnerships with schools, communities, Faculties, industry and external organisations, the Division supports UOW's commitment to providing inclusive, world class learning experiences and delivering meaningful benefit to the diverse communities it serves.
The Market Analyst (Level 6/7) is a specialist role responsible for bridging market demand with UOW's course portfolio strategy, ensuring the product offering is closely aligned with the needs of prospective students. This role focuses on the analysis of higher education and job market trends, competitor benchmarking, and the evaluation of customer insights to inform and provide recommendations which feed into the course portfolio strategy and planning process. Working within the Student Recruitment Strategy team, the Market Analyst also provides evidence based recommendations that shape student recruitment strategies to ensure UOW remains competitive and responsive to future market needs. The role also prepares high quality reports and presentations for stakeholders across the University and collaborates closely with recruitment, marketing, academic, and service teams to support informed decision making and sustainable growth.
