About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Qualified Educator or Room Leader. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for leading a team of early childhood educators and providing high-quality care and educational experiences for children in our Waikiki, WA centre.
What you'll be doing
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of an allocated room, ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children
* Lead and mentor a team of early childhood educators, providing guidance, support and feedback to help them develop their skills
* Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
* Build strong relationships with children and families, actively communicating with parents about their child's progress
* Ensure all regulatory requirements and company policies are adhered to at all times
* Contribute to the overall continuous improvement of the centre
What we're looking for
* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
* Experience (3+ years) working as a room leader or in a similar supervisory role in a childcare setting
* Thorough knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and national quality standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and co-workers
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
* Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
o Availability to work across our OSCH service would be an advantage.
