Our client is seeking a motivated and driven Business Development Professional to join their team and contribute to the growth of their current network. You will be working with a collaborative team whose goal is to deliver excellent service to all customers and a team who have a strong community focus.You will be at the forefront of new account creation and contributing to the strategic plans in relation to new business aquisition.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Source and verify potential customers and key contacts for business growth opportunities at the local, state, and national levels, utilising various platforms
- Foster and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring high-quality service is delivered
- Handle disputes and client complaints promptly
- Creation of business proposals and closing on recent business deal
Record and document all interactions and opportunities in the designated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Engage in weekly debrief sessions and devise strategies for new business acquisition
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reports as required
- Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives and support the operations team when needed
- Maintain a professional and respectful communication style at all times.
- Fulfil any other ad hoc duties as required
**You will have**:
- Previous Experience in outbound sales, transport industry knowledge preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to create and analyse reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Familiar with CRM platforms
- Able to cold call clients
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
