Offer description

Bring complex large-scale projects to life through high-quality documentation in our national practice.

Your Role

Due to an increase of exciting projects within our industrial sector, we're looking for a skilled and detail-driven Documentor to join our growing national practice. This is a key role within our practice, supporting the delivery of large-scale, complex projects across a diverse range of sectors. You will work closely with architects, clients, consultants and builders to produce clear, coordinated and high-quality documentation that brings projects to life. You will play an integral part in shaping design and documentation outcomes, coordinating consultants and ensuring project deliverables are issued accurately, efficiently and to a high standard. We are ideally looking for a full-time candidate, but we are open to flexible arrangements for the right person. Please share your preferences in your application.

Your Responsibilities

* Deliver documentation packages and project tasks on brief, on time, and on budget.
* Liaise with Senior Architects, Project Leaders, and Associates to provide clear communication and regular project updates.
* Collaborate with project consultants and manage documentation timelines.
* Ensure internal QA standards are met before documents are issued.
* Support Documentor Graduates or Students on smaller tasks when required.
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement through project debriefs, learning sessions, and knowledge sharing.

About You

* Advanced knowledge of architectural documentation practice and theory.
* Strong Revit skills, with experience across concept design, design development, and construction documentation.
* Industrial documentation experience – warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or distribution centres – is highly regarded. Experience on large-scale commercial or similar complex projects will also be considered.
* Sound knowledge of NCC (BCA and Australian Standards).
* Skilled in visual communication including sketches, layouts, detail drawings, and presentations.
* Proficiency in SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite.
* Clear and professional communication style, with proven ability to build strong client and team relationships.
* Growth mindset, proactive and self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

What is on Offer?

* Supportive Team Environment: In an industry dominated by ego, we saw an opportunity to do something different. That's why in 2004 we founded a human-centered architectural practice that placed strong client relationships at the centre of its ethos.
* Work-Life Balance: We recognise the importance of balance. Enjoy a workplace that respects your personal life and wellbeing, providing a healthy office environment and flexible work opportunities. We also create regular opportunities to connect through team lunches, end of month drinks and social events throughout the year.
* Ongoing Learning & Development: Personalised learning and development budgets for each employee, along with continuous support to help you reach your career goals.
* The Other Perks: No two days are ever the same at WYA, from Table Tennis Tournaments, Soccer competitions, End of Month Drinks, Play Days, Book Club and dogs in the office, there is a little bit for everyone.
