Purpose
In this role, you will look after the financial accounting for the Flight Centre Travel Group Leisure Brand operations like Cruiseabout. This decentralised financial accounting role supports the Australian Leisure business and requires you to have a disciplined financial control mindset, diligent work ethic, be proactive in finding solutions, have strong customer and teamwork skills, time management skills and ability to adapt in an ever‐changing environment.
This is a maternity leave cover contract.
Day to day you'll be ...
* Doing month‐end accounting for the Leisure business to assist in the GL close process, including Cash
* Managing and recording wage Calculations and Debtors/Creditors recording.
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations across the Leisure business
* Protecting our business by monitoring and reviewing at‐risk items
* Timely and accurate preparation of monthly Profit and Loss and Balance
* Assisting with half year and year end statutory audits
* Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes
* Assisting with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives as they arise
* Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes

* High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth, and pressure
* Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar
* CA/CPA qualification
* 2-3 years experience in an accounting role
* High competency in Microsoft Programs – Excel, Powerpoint, Word
* Strong experience with leveraging AI to enhance processes and workbooks with strong prompt knowledge.
