About the Business Unit:
Technology Solutions and Data Security is delivering the Data and Digital Reform Agenda, which focuses on meeting the department's data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.
Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services.
It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded projects; and oversees the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
About the Role:
The Project Manager plans and manages delivery of projects to meet identified business needs and acquires and utilises the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.
Some of your duties will include:
* Taking full responsibility for the definition, documentation and initiation of a range of small and medium scale projects, ensuring that risks are identified, and schedule, resource and budget elements are accurately estimated
* Establishing the required mechanisms to support project governance and ensures that the relevant information is provided to decision makers in a timely manner.
* Planning and managing the delivery of small and medium scale projects and is accountable for active management of resources, budget, risks, issues and schedule within agreed tolerances.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
* Knowledge and experience in managing the successful delivery of IT projects through the full project lifecycle, preferably in a public sector procurement environment (or similar)
* Knowledge and understanding of application, network, and infrastructure architecture, including security requirements and protocols
* Knowledge of new or emerging technologies and their potential value to the organisation
Qualifications/Requirements
* Relevant project management qualifications are desirable.
